Hello! My name is Alexander Fuhr, I am a Lead Concept Artist, storyteller, and mentor – it has been my great privilege to work in entertainment for over 15 years now, helping bring life and creativity to some truly wonderful stories.  My journey began in film as a prop fabricator, working on some of Hollywood's biggest films, including The Fast and Furious franchise, Jurassic World, and Deadpool. This path quickly led to concept design, continuing to work in props and set design for television and film.  My time in Hollywood came to a close, when the call of Character Concept design brought me to games. I’ve spent the past 10 years as a Game Dev – having worked in franchises such as Marvel and The Lord of Rings – but found my home in Amazon’s New World - where I had the honor to lead a truly incredible team of artists and developers.
I believe stories have the ability to change us, to change the world, and guide us towards a better future.  Developing not just a character’s design, but who they are, and who they could be is at the heart of my practice.  My guiding light is great storytelling, and developing visual languages to support that is for me what this is all about.  Building, steering, and mentoring a team to accomplish that has quickly become one of my favorite aspects of Development. I hope to continue to build incredible worlds, tell new stories, and looking forward, I plan on bringing that mentorship practice into my own official education setting.
